Security Findings
What are security findings?
Cloud security is the practice of protecting cloud-based data, applications, and infrastructure from cyber attacks and cyber threats. The term security finding is typically assigned to a discovered security issue that exists in one's cloud environment - whether AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, or a combination.
With legacy CSPM providers, these findings are presented as a long list of singular findings related to cloud assets and configurations.
How should I approach security findings?
Reviewing singular security findings is always a good place to start however, it should be clear that the findings as they appear in legacy CSPM tools, are not enough. They lack the complete story and connected findings that can help to provide the vital information that will allow for you to prioritize these findings correctly.
